Dr. Wehbe received his medical degree from the American University in Beirut. After completing his residency at the University of Iowa, he created a dedicated, multidisciplinary head and neck medical oncology clinic at the University of Iowa Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center (HCCC). Previously, head and neck cancers had been primarily treated from a surgical perspective. He remained on the faculty at the HCCC until 2013, when he joined CTRC as an assistant professor of medicine. Dr. Wehbe serves as the medical director for medical oncology, specializing in cancers of the head and neck, thoracic region, and gastrointestinal tract. He is also heavily involved in clinical trial development through the Institute for Drug Development.
