Dr. Floyd, Assistant Professor for the Department of Neurosurgery at School of Medicine at the UT Health Science Center San Antonio, began his medical career in high school after obtaining early acceptance to The University of Alabama School of Medicine at the age of eighteen. Prior to matriculating, Dr. Floyd did finish his undergraduate degree (summa cum laude), and studied public health policy and clinical trial design at the University of Adelaide, South Australia on a Rotary International Scholarship.
Dr. Floyd’s surgical training began at the prestigious Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee where he completed an internship in General Surgery. Subsequently, he finished his neurosurgical training from the Department of Neurological Surgery, Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Dr. Floyd has also completed a fellowship in Neurosurgical Oncology and Skull Base Surgery at the University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer
